My Experiences Thus Far

I found this blogging experience extremely fun. I have always wanted to start a blog of my own, and this was the perfect introduction into It. The most effective tool that I used was linking. Since I wrote about coffee shops, it was helpful to have an easy way to send the readers directly to the coffee shops website. The tool that was least effective is the slideshow. For some reason I just don’t find the slideshow very appealing. I don’t really like the look of it, and I most likely will not be using it in the future.

Since this is my first time blogging, there are definitely a few things that I can improve on. One thing that I really want to work on is describing the actual taste of the coffee better. I would like my readers to have a really good understanding of the coffee, so that they will want to go to the shops and try what I suggest. Another thing I want to work on is taking more and better quality photos. When I look at coffee shops online, I always want more pictures because that’s how I ultimately choose if it’s worth it or not.

This experience was 100% beneficial for me. I am a public relations major and blogging will for sure be in my future. I already blog for my internship at Breakthrough Concepts, and this experience has helped me realize that you have to blog about something you love. I really enjoy coffee, so I look forward to posting. Social media is a huge aspect of public relations now and I love being up-to-date and in the know about all things online. I want to create a strong online presence. I am about to embark on a journey though many countries, and I am trying to get sponsored. I am trying to get my blog about traveling shared on major sites, so this practice is helping me towards that goal. So professionally, this blog helped me develop skills that could possibly help my future.

Overall, this was a great learning experience and I really enjoyed it. Thanks for a great last semester at Texas State University, and be on the lookout because I’ll always have a latte talk about!
